Just the other evening I sat around a table with a bunch of people not wearing masks and listened to them worry about the State increasing restrictions in our county due to rising cases because "people aren't wearing masks and doing what they need to do". These maskless people, sitting within a few feet of each other, magically protected by having a drink in front of them, then began criticizing a local church for holding an Easter egg hunt for kids, outdoors, where many were not wearing masks.
It's mass insanity, fam. Logic, reason, and morality have been cast aside in favor of slavish obedience to arbitrary rules and the edicts of petty tyrants.
I sent this to a few friends via text who, while agreeing that all of this is "stupid", feel that we just need to ride it out. There's no riding this out.
The fallacy these dipshits believe is that you can actually get rid of covid for good. To that that’s what it means to “defeat the virus”. But that’s an impossible goal, which means you will be in a perpetual state of lock down for the rest of your life and life as we know it has to fundamentally change because have now devised people getting sick is no longer an acceptable part of nature.
