I’ll tell you: they’ll tell me that Trump is a Nazi and that he’s going to take all of our rights away.
My response as a then college professor: Excuse me, but what “rights” have you lost? Have you been removed in the middle of the night and sent to a death camp in a random boxcar? Have you had all your property stolen from you down to your gold fillings? Have you had your business destroyed and stolen from you? No? Then quit equating President Trump to Adolph Hitler or Reinhard Heydrich because you’re insulting the memory of several million deceased Jews and “undesirables”, plus the lives of the soldiers that died to end Nazism. Do not equate the two ever again.
The professor tried to defend their position saying Trump is taking away the rights of illegal immigrants. My response?: Are they American citizens? No? Then they have no rights under our social contract of governance and to claim they do, outside of claiming asylum, undermines our entire legal system and marginalizes me as an American citizen.
That was the last of our interactions. They never spoke to me again. I was not going to allow such intellectual tripe to be spewed by someone that claimed themselves intelligent. I left a semester later and got out.
There are no educated elites right after the internet was popularized. Colleges and businesses realize that smart people are not going to waste their time in expensive colleges so they make it a requirement for good job in corporations, and they end up with drones whom colleges brainwashed.
So many classes in college are so worthless now, and it's beyond stupid how many of those are 'required' to take because you need a certain amount of credits to graduate. It was so torturous having to go through that, I'm glad I'm out of there, but I reckon it's even worse now compared to how it was when I was in. Education is no longer valuable, because they push everyone into getting '''educated''' just for the sake of it; colleges have been incentivized to do that for decades ever since student loans and financial aid became a thing, take as many students as you can, and don't really care if they graduate or not, you still get the taxpayer cash.
Because they've dumbed down education so much, anyone can become a teacher. They want us fat and stupid so we don't realize the messed things they're doing. Critical and logical thinking isn't taught anymore. In fact, if you think differently, you're considered a troublemaker.
Professional studies and STEM have been dumbed down by Universities and the quality of education. They'd be better off in an apprenticeship.
The idea that your individual intelligence is fixed is a farce. You can learn how to think, especially as a child. Logic and Critical Thinking are skills that are intentionally not taught at school. The problem is nobody is reaching their full potential anymore, even if those potentials vary. The floor would be a lot higher if we were.
Norwegian schools might be less fucked than american schools, but I have largely good experiences with STEM and professional studies.
I disagree, I believe IQ to be atleast partially genetic and it has extreme impact on individuals. You are however probably correct about that learning to think, logic and critical thinking are crucial to have a healthy mind.
There is a large amount of people who have a higher than average IQ but they are still not that smart. 100 IQ is just average.
This guy is a great example. Very intelligent, very educated, but not very smart.
The tenured professor has been awaiting trial since his Jan. 23 arrest, when authorities at the airport in Buenos Aires found 2 kilograms of cocaine in the lining of his luggage.
Frampton claims he fell into a "honey trap," and had been visiting the country to meet up with a bikini model he met online. Instead, the professor came into contact with a man acting as an intermediary, who asked him to carry the model's empty suitcase.
Good point. English is not my first language so nuances might be lost. I do agree that being smart and being wise is not the same.
IQ is a good determinator of ability, but it is not perfect. It is good for statistical use, but it is not accurate enough to precisely describe individuals.
The other day I was on a work call and I said “the best laid schemes o’ mice an men...”
Everyone on this call was educated to at least a bachelors if not masters or higher level. One of them piped up and asked aloud “is it true John Steinbeck coined that phrase?”
I was muted and let out a guffaw but waited to see if anyone else would correct him. To my surprise a few others said “yeah the book with George and Lenny?”
Finally I chimed in and told them it was from a poem about a mouse by Robert Burns and they all got quiet and one finally said “what did you google that or something?”
I said “No we read it when I was in high school” and they all got quiet. I’m a little older than these people are.
If you’re interested in the problem of higher “edumacation”, I suggest listening to this interview. Start it at 6ish minutes and within 3 minutes, VDH lays out exactly what education used to be, what it is now, and how we got here. Mind you, this was from 2008.
Education is a joke these days. Most people with an education are not smart. 90% of women should not be educated. It wastes their prime fertile years and gives them inflated egos so they can work as an HR Manager, another useless career. Our whole system is a joke.
That's why I dropped out in my third semester. I asked my advisor when would I would be able to take a class that would teach me how to actually do anything worthwhile. Their answer was less than satisfactory.
The only thing I find higher ed good for is journal access and equipment auctions. They give great stuff away all the time.
We should also be asking about the flip side of this question: if you can speak multiple languages, are familiar with poetry, and know a lot about Western culture, what opportunities does that offer you? Not much except to see your resume shoved aside in favor of an obese blue-haired gender studies major who mouths all the right slogans and has a resume with all the right keywords.
Explain to you how your wrong for wanting a traditiinal family, land and meaningful work
Educate you on the benefits of your privilege.

Biden is pretty much everything that MSM said about Trump. Destroyed the economy, made America a joke, etc.
Fucks his kids...
Projection!
Saved in my Badass Replies folder.
I stopped calling them educated, now I call those losers the "Credentialed" class
They are indoctrinated, not educated.
“Re-educated”
mis-educated
I would suggest "credentialized," implying that they're obsessive and fake.
“Cretintialed”
Exactly

Tell you what gender they are not.
Are you assuming some people arent all-gender?
mumble into their lattes.

In the past, students learned Greek and Latin in high school.
These days college freshmen have to take remedial English.

The “educated elite” are as stupid as the next prole.
You can identify the real elites by the way they fuck kids and get away with it.
Smart =/= educated
A lot of educated people today are probably not smart enough. Increased amount of educated people means that the average iq is lower.
You don't need to be smart to memorize.
The problem isn't the intelligence level, it's the education plain and simple. You can only learn what they teach you.
I both agree and disagree. Education doesnt really matter outside professional studies and STEM.
I have far more respect for fishermen, farmers, nurses than a random dude with 5 years of educational crap.
On the other hand i do believe iq matter å lot. It is not everything, but it raises your potential.
Professional studies and STEM have been dumbed down by Universities and the quality of education. They'd be better off in an apprenticeship.

To be fair, it's not even in English.
Teach 4th graders how to put a condom on a banana?
They can recite woke talking points about race and gender, not much else.
Fuck over white people.
College was never meant to be job training, it was meant to be a place for leaders to be shaped. Something broke.

Uhm, Racism. Genderdisphoria. Racism. Porn. All the important things to enhance society.
The smartest people i know, never went to college or university
We tried to tell y'all that "time out" and participation trophies were a bad idea.....
Nothing. They are frauds. They were mostly frauds back then too but there were fewer to go around.

Steal your rights and enslave you, then laugh about how morally and intellectually superior they are while sipping lattes.

They can create violent mobs and turn them against the law-abiding without punishment.
They can justify cherry picking, doctoring 'research', and outright lying to support their anti-white, anti-male, anti-Christian hatred.
Make my coffee
Well I don’t care where your family came from but you are a racist!

I imagine that some highly educated people are still capable of all this, they just hate western culture.
Google stuff?
Plagiarize something they found using Goolag.
Just stick to most STEM and medical. They're the only useful undergraduate degrees.
