I 'm lucky that I live near large Sporting goods chain that doesn't mark up prices. Inventory is wiped out early, but if you go when the store opens they will often have what you need at very fair prices.

Just picked up a box of 200 rounds Winchester 556 M855 at half the cost I see online. Don't pay high prices and they will come down.
