Dem controlled NM is an open carry state and they recently had a special legislative session basically to push through legal marijuana.

I suspected since majority of county sheriffs refused to enforce some of their ridiculous gun control enacted in 2019 that gun confiscation was the purpose of the marijuana legalization.
