Protestantism is what destroyed Europe and Western Civilization and you haven't figured that out yet. It's no coincidence that the Reformation was followed by the so-called "Enlightenment" which opened the pandora's box of atheism and secularism and tightened satan's grip on society. Tell me, which Crusades did Protestants lead? Did Protestants drive out the Muslim invaders in Spain and elsewhere in Southern Europe? They did none of that because they only served to fracture the unity of Christians and ensure they could no longer come together to fight off attacks from all forces seeking to destroy European culture and Christendom.

While it is true that the Reformation and subsequent Enlightenment divided the Christian people into sects, denominations, the reason for the reformation was the absolute travesty Catholicism, particularly the papacy and clergy, had become, where it cared less for scripture and more about doctrine politics and dogma. Without the reformation, the Bible would not have been translated into languages people could read, so that they could read for themselves the power of Christ. While we see much of the same problem with Catholics today, there are many many Protestants who know the living word and truth of God, to bring them in closer fellowship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The Bible was already translated into other languages, and distributed as much as the technology of that time could allow. The further distribution was inevitable with the printing press. https://catholicexchange.com/the-untold-story-of-how-catholics-first-translated-scripture-into-english

There's more than two options. Eastern Orthodoxy exists. It is THE God Tier of Christianity.

And to you! I like what Charles Coulombe said on this very topic: “ The East will tolerate any amount of schism, but no heresy. The West will tolerant any amount of heresy, but no schism. We desperately need each other.”

So your rejection of reformed theology is based upon vague historical correlations?

HurdyGurdyHer 0 points ago +5 / -5

Like his "progressive" descendants Luther simply removed (and told his followers to ignore) Scripture that contradicted his heresy. It's easy to insist on "biblical" when there are so many flavors to appeal to one's personal taste.

Protestantism was the beginning of the downfall. Understand, most "protestants" who founded America, still had significant Traditional Catholic roots, which is the true foundation of western civilization. The Americans who founded America were in a transition phase toward our eventual destruction and didn't realize they were actually part of the problem. The enlightenment and renaissance were not good for western civilization but actually quite bad. There's a reason leftists adore these periods of time.

The true roots of western civilization are Ancient Greek-Roman values and then Traditional Catholicism which took the Ancient Greek-Roman values as a foundation and integrated Christianity into a merging of Christianity and Greek-Roman values. Understand that Greek-Roman values are highly dominate, patriarchal and promotes masculinity and strength. Pure Christianity is submissive, matriarchal and promotes weakness. The parts of the Bible which are patriarchal and strong are the Torah and parts written by the Apostles not by Jesus Christ. These Apostles would have been Jews living in a period of Roman cultural dominance so their values were highly influenced by the Romans as well as Jews. All the parts Jesus promoted were highly submissive and weak in nature.

Traditional Catholics were Romans/Jews who converted to Christianity. They had an extremely strong foundation for morality based on a highly patriarchal and dominant society in their Torah and Ancient Greek-Roman traditions. They integrated these values/beliefs into Christianity and did not throw it entirely away to simply listen to Jesus. The Apostles themselves wrote the New Testament and added their own parts which were highly influenced by Jew/Roman values.

Protestants did not like this aspect of Christianity and wanted to make Christianity more about Christ while be less about traditional Catholic values which were highly influenced by ancient Greek-Roman values.

PROTESTANTS ARE THE PROBLEM.

If you want to fix western society you need to embrace traditional Greek-Roman values. You need a patriarchy. You need strength. You need to only use the teachings of Jesus Christ as one aspect of your total moral philosophy and not the end-all because Jesus Christs teaching are entirely based around what to do when you're being persecuted, have no strength and will simply be conquered anyway. What do you do? You do nothing, you adore your weakness and you let God sort everything out after you die. That is the philosophy of slaves and the weak. It is not the foundation of western society and the more we've embraced this the more it will literally be our undoing.

Fuck the protestants, fuck weak Christians, fuck the Jews, and fuck secular humanists. Let's get back to our ancient Greek-Roman values and promote an ethnocentric patriarchal society that conquers the weak while promotes strength and dominance within our own society.

Agree.

The Declaration of Independence is, in many ways, just the next step' in Luthers Reformation.

God gave Man Rights... He did not give 'some men Rights and others less Rights'

The Founders fought to the death for those Rights....

Now we come to a time where even most on the Right - DO NOT understand those Rights now how important they are to pass on to future generations.

And the Left - has simply gone off the rails.

To protect their roots, Japan and Korea refuse to let in Muslim savages, and Commie China insists anything built inside its border must have "Chinese characteristic", whatever that means.

Bingo. You cannot insert a new belief system on top of an existing one, you need to first destroy the existing belief system. This is why commies are atheists. This is why commies work to destroy Christianity.

I'll mention two things. The Bible wasn't constituted until the late 3rd century, the truth was spread by tradition and preaching. It wasn't until the 16th century when it became available to the common man. Also without Christ at the center of our founding documents it is easy to see why our nation has spiraled into it's present corrupt state. Freedom "from" religion is bound to occur when Christ is put on an even field with literally any other deity - what moral compass will be leveraged? Man's. That's an awful place to be as a nation. We should have put the Cross on our flag when we had the chance, but then again with the Freemasons influence on our founding I don't think that was ever an option.

America is a white christian nation and it should stay that way it never should have dropped below 90% white (european descent). Europe is a white christian continent and should be 100% white (European blood only).

There's a book called "An Anxious Age" by Joseph Bottum that talks about exactly this.

In their rejection of Protestantism, they maintain the same attitudes but possess a new religion he calls, "post-Protestantism". But these people that are every bit as religious as their parents, just without the religion

In their view, the social forces of bigotry, power, corruption, mass opinion, militarism, and oppression are the constant themes of history. These horrors have a palpable, almost metaphysical presence in the world. And the post-Protestants believe the best way to know themselves as moral is to define themselves in opposition to such bigotry and oppression -- understanding good and evil not primarily in terms of personal behavior but as states of mind about the social condition. Sin, in other words, appears as a social fact, and the redeemed personality becomes confident of its own salvation by being aware of that fact.

book is kind of hard to read though, it's filled with so many references to other books and authors that you forget what he's trying to say

FightingTeuton 3 points ago +3 / -0

That feels nothing like Christianity, which is about Christ and redemption and salvation

2
wethedownvoted 2 points ago +2 / -0

that's the point he makes in the book, believers in this "social gospel" -- though they wouldn't call themselves believers -- believe salvation comes from knowing you're not a bigot, corrupt, or following the herd, etc.

but they are every bit as religious about it as overtly religious people -- they just choose to believe they're not religious

Except half the founders were Deists and 95% were white nationalists.

The Creator-God of Nature and Reason has His laws and dogma etched into the world itself. Like ALL religions, Christianity struggles and fails when the living dogma drifts too far from God's Absolute Law. This is why Mormons are closer to the One True God than mainstream Christians, and as proof, He blesses them with growth and unity.

Not you'll catch me endorsing Mormons, but their living dogma (the religion as it's practiced) is plainly superior.

European? Lol. Fyi you quoted a non European Orthodox Christian. Protestantism couldn't have survived the systemic brutal assault Russian Orthodox Christians endured. The most ancient form of Christianity offers special ops tier training starting 40 days after your born when you get baptized and chrismated and take communion ie become a full member of the Body of Christ. Protestants arent even in "the military" God blesdvthem. Fyi The Oxford scholar, Ware, wrote a life altering read explaining the difference between ancient Christianity and the much later Western religion called Christianity that Roman Catholics started in Europe. What an eye opening read. Also a helpful antidote to alot of Western prpoganda/worldview that leaves seekers vulnerable to new forms of disinformation narratives and "solutions".

Then why did Jesus Himself tell the Apostle Peter: "You are the rock on which I will build My church?" Churchbuilding is a function of Jesus and His Apostles.

1
FightingTeuton 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yes and also the importance of the seven churches. It is also true that where two or more are gathered...it’s less about a building in truth than the congregation.

Look at the first century Church. The roles of Bishop, Priest and Deacon were carved out from the beginning, exactly as we see them represented in Eastern Orthodoxy, a couple of centuries, by the way, before the canon of the Old and New Testament was finalized. On this issue Protestants have no argument to make, all they can do is appeal to people's pride, by promising them a DIY independent form of Christianity where no "establishment" rules them but God. It's been a phenomenal success at creating errors (Mormonism, Jehovah's Witnesses, etc. all grew out of Protestantism. Orthodoxy stamped their falsehoods out centuries ago).

No, Jesus warns against people coming in His name claiming to be Him, it's not even primarily aimed at organized religion, let alone a blanket condemnation of organized religion. You speak falsely and senselessly.

Protestantism = lousy tier Catholicism = average tier Orthodoxy = God Tier

How ironic BTW, that a post advocating we all become Prots uses a quote from an Orthodox Christian (Solzhenitsyn)

America embracing Eastern Orthodoxy is a necessary ingredient to making us great again/keeping us great.
