The packing of the court is a bad idea. It should never pass, but the fact that it is being floated is concerning. The idea of expanding the court gives a large advantage to whatever party tries to do it and is likely to fuel partisan tension.

He will either be dead by then or the 25th amendment will have taken him out.

If Manchin isn’t budging on the filibuster, he definitely won’t fold on the SCOTUS. Plus they also have Sinema and Shaheen who seem to be pretty keen on fighting the excesses of the far left.

People keep being alarmist over nothing. The Democrats controlled government for 2008-2010 and still didn’t get nothing done, except a last-second Hail Mary for the ACA, and even that barely passed.
