Sometimes I actually wish shit like this and gun bans would pass just to get out of this slow burn and straight to the action. The sooner it happens the quicker we can start to rebuild. I no longer think there is a political or simple solution to it all. Let's giterdun
Most people don't want that because they like the easy life they have now. Doing anything that might upset that, even if it means allowing things to get worse, will make the majority shrivel up and start lashing out at anyone trying to help because the short term discomfort is too much for them.
It's why most colonist's had to be dragged, kicking and screaming, to just stay out of the way of the revolution. Not even support it, just to avoid fucking it up. Living under the crown, even if it meant being harshly taxed, was preferable to the scary thought of having to be on our own.
