Every single church has an "elder's quorum" where the men meet as men to discuss their duties as Godly men to church, family, and community (or waste time depending on your ward) and not one of them EVER agreed on politics. I attended church in over 10 states, attended BYU.
The church leaders since Ezra Benson died are basically as useful and competent as hired Vatican assassins. And It's funny to see how much Nelson has cozied up to the Pope and other "apostles" to Anglicans
