I'm guess its mostly virtue signaling. Most people have been seeing their family without the mask.

55
magaeducator [S] 55 points ago +55 / -0

my coworkers (we are teachers) would not see their relatives until they were vaccinated. they complained about not being able to see them over the holidays, and once they got the vaccine, they were literally crying because they were so happy to see them again. it makes no sense to me

49
kommisar6 49 points ago +49 / -0

isn't there some kind of proverb about a coward dying a thousand deaths but the brave man dies only once?

42
Independenceforever 42 points ago +43 / -1

They can't just admit they got conned.

So they'll invent new schemes to cover for the previous mistake.

Literally she swallowed the cat to catch the mouse, the swallowed the mouse to catch the spider, she swallowed the spider to catch the fly

I never knew the nursery rhyme was a deep psychological treatise on the flawed and deadly human condition of somebody who cannot admit a mistake.

14
MakeAmericaVapeAgain 14 points ago +14 / -0

that was a good take on ‘the lady who swallowed a fly’. i never thought much about that nursery rhyme. it just seemed like a children’s exercise in putting things in order, but it really is about ludicrously compounding mistakes. out of curiosity, have you ever thought about the rumplestiltskin story and how he is kind of screwed out of his prize by the woman he helps?

waxonwaxoff87 5 points ago +5 / -0

It's the sunk cost fallacy. The idea that you have invested so much into something that you have to see it to the end rather than just take the L and cut your loses.

TD_Covfefe_Crusader 18 points ago +18 / -0

I listen to people talk about the virus, masks, lockdowns, and vaccines daily and wonder what the hell is wrong with them. Then I remember the propaganda that they absorb daily and it all makes sense.

11
R-A-T-S- 11 points ago +11 / -0

Not to mention the "vaccine" only suppresses symptoms of a virus that often has no symptoms.

4
ViduusMAGA 4 points ago +4 / -0

Dude, Chinese people were randomly collapsing on the subway. I’d call that a symptom.

... still haven’t seen it... but cnn showed it so it has to be real.

1
R-A-T-S- 1 point ago +1 / -0

Well yeah. There were videos of people laying on the floor. Were they dead? Diseased? who is to say. Perhaps they were just told to lay down on the floor.

However as soon as it left china, it stopped doing that. And then the big concern was that even if you didn't have any symptoms, you might still have the virus and are able to infect and kill grandma.

But fear not! for now there is a shot you can get that makes it so, while you still might be infected with with and kill grandma, you won't have any symptoms!

8
Pepehands 8 points ago +8 / -0

First off it's not a vaccine. Second it doesn't stop you from giving or getting the virus.

5
anon2309011 5 points ago +5 / -0

Yeah!! It just stops you from getting symptoms in a virus with no symptoms!

5
CucksForTheDonald 5 points ago +5 / -0

It suppresses symptoms, which makes it a vaccine in the same way that we have a "vaccine" for the Marek's virus in chickens.

The vaccine for the Marek's virus also suppresses symptoms but allows the virus to reproduce and propagate. As a result, vaccinated chickens become petri dishes for incredibly nasty strains of the virus, the hottest of which are capable of killing 100% of unvaccinated chickens within 10 days.

One of the possible endgames is that the globalists know this, and that they're trying to create Marek's virus for humans. Covid itself is mild, but if they get enough people vaccinated, the vaccinated population may become a breeding ground for nasty versions of Covid that will kill the unvaccinated.

Perhaps enough have already been vaccinated for this to occur.

2
Heavy_Metal_Patriot 2 points ago +3 / -1

Scary thought. So which way to go? Become a human guinea pig for the mRNA "vax" or wait for Skippy the SuperVirus to emerge from the zombie horde?

1
Pepehands 1 point ago +1 / -0

Well there's I dye in the vaccine so if you don't get it you won't have the dye. Likely they will put us in camps if you don't have it.

1
Pepehands 1 point ago +1 / -0

Sort of but virus' mutate to be less harmful and spread easier. They don't mutate to become more "deadly" per se.

1
Pepehands 1 point ago +1 / -0

Also the vaccine is altering your genes with a mimic of the spike protein on the outside of the Corona virus cells. This allows your cells to preemptively have a heightened immune response to Corona virus'. However this is a two edged sword and the potentiality is unknown in this particular instance. What we do know is it will put your cells in this heightened state permanently. Hence why I refer to it as gene therapy/altering and not a vaccine. It's like a permanent tattoo on your cells that you cannot ever remove.

https://www.discovermagazine.com/health/covid-vaccines-focus-on-the-spike-protein-but-heres-another-target

Also I forgot to mention as it folds proteins sometimes they can misfold and get dumped in your body causing things like prion disease.

I'm missing the justification for the "doesn't stop you from giving or getting the virus". I see this comment repeated quite a bit, but can't find any source for it.

Our body fights invaders via antibodies identifying them, and then mounting a defense against the tagged invaders.

If you fight off the actual bug, then you have the antibodies for it.

If you get a vaccine, simulating the actual bug, then you have the antibodies for it. Typical vaccines are a weakened or "killed" virus so your body recognizes the molecular structure and makes antibodies. The mRNA "vaccine" causes your own cells to make the spike protein, and then the antibodies to attach to that and identify the virus particle to your immune system.

That's it. That's how our system works, as far as I've ever heard.

So, what in these vaccines makes them somehow different, to not stop you from getting or giving the virus? It just doesn't make sense, and NO ONE has been able to explain why!

1
Gonzotron5000 1 point ago +1 / -0

On top of that most liberals seem to only complain about being with family as drudgery.

28
MustBeTrump 28 points ago +28 / -0

You're clearly not very educated on how delusional and deranged lefties are then.

They would turn their families into the authorities if the television told them to.

I know many people personally that have avoided seeing their families until the government tells them that's it's okay. They tell me they're visiting their family and then submissively tell me that they're following the rules though! Like I give a shit.

These people are terrified of authority and will sacrifice almost everything to follow baseless orders. They are not normal.

16
TD_Covfefe_Crusader 16 points ago +16 / -0

Just a couple of weeks ago I witnessed an entire family all masked up hiking in an open area with no one else around except for me, about 40 yards away from them. It was also windy and pouring down rain.

16
MustBeTrump 16 points ago +16 / -0

I've seen similar things, it's utter fucking madness.

People leave their homes and immediately put on the mask, alone, in the wind and rain.

This website is the only reason I haven't lost all faith in humanity.

8
CelesteD 8 points ago +8 / -0

yep, same here. although it's California, I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I see runners and joggers out in the morning wearing them. you would think pro health people like that might understand it lowers your oxygen intake and makes your body perform worse, but I guess not.

3
CucksForTheDonald 3 points ago +3 / -0

Accumulating and re-breathing bacteria seems to me like the more significant issue.

Not to mention that some masks have been found to be toxic and were given to children.

2
jennyfrutex 2 points ago +2 / -0

I live near a popular pedestrian path, which I'm on almost every day, and I've seen plenty of people walking or running alone, not crowded by anyone, but wearing masks. I just want to ask them: what exactly do you think that mask is doing?

1
CelesteD 1 point ago +1 / -0

depriving them of oxygen. at best blocking some dust particles.

3
Stanwyk74 3 points ago +3 / -0

My favorite is the entire families with masks in parks, yet they walk a bunch of maskless dogs! Retards.

3
marikiri 3 points ago +3 / -0

I'm tempted to start drive-by yelling at lone people on walks to take their mask off

Many people did in fact gleefully turn family members, friends, neighbors and coworkers who attended the Jan.6th Capitol protest in to the fbi. These same people are the ones who would rat out their neighbors for having too many people over. They would have made good Stasi members.

It isn't. Wife's family still had a meet outside masked Easter. Can't come in the house.. Both grandparents are vaccinated... as are many others.. I was home. I ain't doing mask meetings..

Been seeing about half my family like normal. The others I have lost to the Panda Demic. They haven't died from it, they've just become braindead potatoes, too terrified to move, breathe, and enjoy life.

1
VoteCyborgTrump2040 1 point ago +1 / -0

Remember that video of the guy putting his mask on before walking to the podium and then taking it off to speak? That's what these people are doing.

20

Way too many, it's terrifying when you really see how many people are ignorant sheeple, especially with all of the extra time and resources we've had in the past year to search for the truth.

7
CucksForTheDonald 7 points ago +7 / -0

You would think they would see all the news about obesity correlated with worse Covid outcomes, and maybe start a routine of squats and pushups and maybe eat less.

Nope! Depending on age group, about half the people gained weight – and of millennials who gained weight, they gained 41 lbs on average!

4
MustBeTrump 4 points ago +4 / -0

Weirdly I was thinking about this earlier after seeing how many of my friends have put on significant weight.

One of the best things anyone could do right now if they're scared of Covid is lose weight and most of them have gained it. It's always such clown world responses.

1
Oceanolyyyyy 1 point ago +1 / -0

Isn’t it funny that unelected doctors are running the show now (at least in my province in Canada) and the universal response was to shut down anything beneficial to your health, but liquor stores remained open out of concern for the alcoholics who might have to suffer withdrawal?

Isn’t it gut-busting hilarious that COVID is worse when you’re obese, so they shut down gyms, the one place where people tend to wipe down equipment before and after their done?

Clown world makes me laugh

My mom, 75yo, died twice in 2019. She was placed on a vent both times. The doc wanted us to pull the plug the 2nd time. We didn't. She's still here. The 2nd episode messed her brain up a bit, and she struggles to remember some things. Been seeing her this whole time.

12
vitalsine 12 points ago +12 / -0

that's what confused me the most about all this. It's one thing if grandma was immuno compromised and in a nursing home. But my mom is only 63. She lost her both her husband and brother during scamdemic, and now I'm not supposed to see her?? Lmao. That's dumb. I see these stories about people letting their relatives die alone so they don't get covid....rather than masks these people should be walking around with helmets on, for their own safety.

I hope your mom feels as good as she can, sounds like you take good care of her.

11
FreedomYeah 11 points ago +11 / -0

My grandparents in their 80s said basically, "like hell we are going to go without seeing our grandkids if this virus can kill us. If this is my last day/week/month on earth, I'm going to enjoy it, not lock myself up"

5
Geyck 5 points ago +5 / -0

Yes. This is the way. I don't know how many older people feel this way but it makes the most sense. However, this week was the first time in a year a lady at my former church saw her grandkids. Shutting it all down to protect the old. The old have been through worse and should think think we're all being pussies.

4
NavySTG 4 points ago +4 / -0

Exactly. That's my parents. No way we let some bureaucrat break up our family. Your grandparents are based. God bless them. Make time to talk to them. The globalists want them dead to keep from telling your generation the truth. If they have old encyclopedias, make room for them. History is being rewritten.

I gave up on my woke family. I stopped answering calls to join Zoom meetings, call back, visit home....but only my mom, who I love but have zero in common with so it's just boring and I overeat the delicious food she makes.

All of my family got vaccine and are thrilled about it. I don't care that they did, but the continued question of "when are you getting yours" is getting old and the answer is always "never."

My aunt passed away last week. Her son was only allowed to see her every two days. Her other two sons weren't allowed to see her at all. One of her sons sat outside a window waiting for her to wave at him, his wife and their two kids for 12 hours the day before she died. Staff refused to even wheel her to the window. She died after crying about not being able to see her sons and her grandchildren. It's one thing to read about. It's a whole other thing to watch your adult male cousins cry because they weren't allowed to see their mom for an entire week before she died.

I wish the family would get the fuck out of here! I'm sick of them flopping around, like it's some kind of resort because there's nothing else going on. None of them will do anything to improve their surroundings, yet as soon as I want to start a project, they complain it's too much noise or the water can't be off now.

If you've never worked in retail you'll be shocked at how stupid the average person is. George Carlin said it best - "think of how stupid the average person is, half the population is dumber than that."

Most people operate thier daily lives on a cobbled together collection of scripts and procedures and canned responses. Stray away from thier script and they turn into a fish. Jaw wide open and vacant empty eyes.

2

You should hear the flack I'm taking for daring to invite some in-laws to my daughter's graduation party! My family has been getting together pretty much as normal for events and holidays.
