Why is ballot language in Spanish? If you've been here long enough to establish citizenship, you've been here long enough to understand English, right?
I had a class in college where the bleeding heart liberals were saying to make voting easier by including Spanish in all the voting materials. I said I had been a volunteer pollworker and asked if more languages would be better and if we should have all the official languages. They said we should and I told them LA County has around 20 official languages on which voting materials must printed. That is A LOT of material. I asked why stop there? We have hundreds of languages in the county. Why exclude them and why assume that their knowledge of what they're voting for isn't the same as an English speaker who grew up in LA County?
When I get an Explanation of Benefits from my healthcare provider, it is at least 8 pages of the same little blurb repeated in multiple languages.
You know that costs a lot of money to produce, print and mail out. What should be a 1 page document, is often 8 pages. We pay for that in out increased premiums.
Complete BS. People should learn functional English for the simple reduction in waste and cost involved in producing materials in multiple languages.
I might go as far to say that not learning English creates climate change with increased trash, waste of resources, and production of chemicals.

I would suggest it’s to create boards and commissions for donors lobbyists, etc. essentially you can create boards that make decisions or run operations with people that are not from the city.
I think in the end you will have these cities run like corporations and the city will no longer be run for or by the people.
But I do agree this also opens the way for illegal immigrants.
