I used to work at Coke. The company only cares about product growth. Pop has had little to no growth for 2 decades. Ten years ago all the growth was in energy drinks and sports drinks. Not sure if that's still true now. However, in order to grow products they need more and more shelf space at places like Walmart, Meijer, Kroger, etc. They have to dedicate a certain amount of their shelf space to pop. If you really want to squeeze them find a way to get retailers to give that extra shelf space to other companies. Coke pissed off Meijer once and Meijer pulled all Coke products for Labor Day weekend. That was a 5 alarm fire.
