They realize it. They are ~literally~ bought and paid for. They took money and power in exchange for doing what they do. They weren’t taken advantage of, they are in on it.

Thats fair. I believe the higher ups in like the senate or leaders of the house know more then they want us to know. Little morons on state levels are surfs that get used to push it further.
