This one cut deep. I was abused as a child, but fuck that noise, I’d rip someone’s spine out before they laid a finger on one of my kids. I didn’t choose to be this salty but I’m choosing to put my pain to good use.
Some who were abused seem to commit abuse as a way of getting back the control of their life they lost in the abuse. It is hard to imagine how they can have so little empathy with their victims after going through the same thing.
There is certainly less but none is reserved for psychopaths. Sexual abuse tends to create psychopaths so I suppose this explains how they can have so little empathy.
