Yep. I know straight women (in marriages) that have been abused, and because of the abuse they very often act submissive and sub-servient to men in general, but they're miserable, constantly high-stress and depressed and can't figure out why. They don't even want to consider why.
As much as people wish there was a simple "and that's that" answer for terrible things like mental illness, or in some people's opinion, horrible/sinful homosexuality, that's not the reality.
My own understanding is that sexuality is more fluid than people would think, and if they met the right partner they could probably be attracted to either gender. But incentive can make it more likely to go one way or the other. Personal choice and incentive can make you more likely to be straight or gay, or bi depending on your life experience.
I haven't been sexually abused, and neither have any of the gay or lesbian friends I know.
I did have a friend who was raped by her father, and she turned out straight... She did kill herself, though.🤷♂️
