Sad for the kids, she was retarded if she didn't know this was going to happen sooner or later. She knew the facts and kept letting a piece of shit ruin her and her kids futures. Sadly nothing will come from this now, those kids will go to the very family members who thought he was a good guy that just kept making the mistake of beating his spouse.
I can't believe he was arrested multiple times for beating her, she herself had a restraining order against him, and yet she still kept hooking up with him and going back. Pure insanity. Thinking doing the same thing over and over again is going to somehow have a different result.
I've encountered these people, you have to cut them out of your life after they go back. I've helped those who want to get away anytime. Those who go back are like a bucket of crabs. They will drag everyone around them down into this bullshit. They put your family at risk when they come running for safety and then do nothing to put the threat down themselves and will likely testify against you if things do get violent with their abuser.
I'm sure others can speak to this as well, when you see a woman being abused you say something. If she tells you to fuck off, you say enjoy the early grave bitch.
Yep, I've seen this with my cousin. It's so incredibly sad. You can't help someone who us unwilling to be helped, and they will end up punishing you for trying.
Oh yes. I had an idiot "friend" call me in the middle of the night to rescue him from going to jail for fighting with his wife. (Cops said if he could get a ride out of there and stay gone for the night, they would "let him go with a warning.")
She was on the cellphone with him very quickly, which at least got me off the hook of wondering what to do with a surprise blackout-drunk houseguest for the rest of the night. Even though the Police told her they would take them both in (if they had to deal with this again/caught him back at their place this night) she was not far behind us on the way to my place, and took him right back home with her.

Well, it takes a certain level of bravery to do what William Wallace did.
True, that guy was a brilliant military leader against the English invaders at a time when they had fairly primitive weapons and little to work with beyond ingenuity. If you haven't seen "Braveheart" it's really good, along the lines of Milla Jovovich's portrayal of Joan of Arc in "The Messenger." Wallace is revered among the Scots and elsewhere, they even have his sword on display although the provenance has has been questioned by some experts
