What if the true purpose of the Constitution was not to limit the government -we have seen that it does not, in fact, achieve that, and it cannot achieve that, because it is ultimately only words on paper- but to act as a guide for future Americans so they would collectively know if and when they should start abolishing and replacing their government, as suggested in the Declaration of Independence.
