without a mask for the first time in Communist country (aka WA state). Went to 4 stores around town, bought items at 3, and not one comment from another shopper or salesperson. I’m embarrassed it took me this long to muster the courage to do it, but sooooo glad I did! I violated Inslee’s shit mandate and didn’t get harassed.

this insanity will only stop when all people and businesses give government the finger

Choomguy 16 points ago +16 / -0

Its gotta be the businesses, people are sheep. But good on op, resist all of it. Always go in maskless, if someone gives you shit, you can always say something like “since im not at risk, i have been saving every mask i come across and donate them to the senior center”.

Yeah, I think businesses standing up to this shit is more important than people honestly. They don't give af if people outside of big cities aren't wearing masks as long as big chains are requiring it. In my red state I'm in one of the bigger cities and the only places that are cucks about it are big corps and chains. Small businesses don't seem to give af

This happened in england. They basically got rid of small businesses because its easier to control (bribe) a few larger companies than it is to control millions of small businesses. When i was a kid and I traveled, one of the cool things was everywhere we went, all the stores were completely different. Today, you can go to any town in the country, and for the most part, see the exact same stores and restaurants. So, we are pretty much there, the next step is taking our guns.

That’s terrible definitely the goal though. Too bad schools are gov funded im at a small community college in a very red state and they’re absolute nazis about it. Have to wear it when you’re just sitting by yourself. I graduated last spring so I visited my high school a couple days ago and I went around the whole place with no mask and didn’t get bothered one time. All colleges are corrupt even though nobody talks about the smaller ones that aren’t universities trust me

Only proprietors have the power to license trespass or not. The government has no power, ignore the government.

I don’t know about others, but it was part being confronted and being told I can’t shop there (I finally just told myself the only thing I lose is time because then I have to leave and go somewhere else to shop- the inconvenience is acceptable to me), and that I’m by nature a ‘rule’ follower (decided that civil disobedience is being a rule follower- to the Constitution).

straight from the government (CDC) - April 2, 9 days ago.

"We’re still learning how vaccines will affect the spread of COVID-19. After you’ve been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, you should keep taking precautions—like wearing a mask, staying 6 feet apart from others, and avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces—in public places until we know more."

Can you fucking believe it? The government is simultaneously telling me to get a vaccine and telling me the vaccine doesn't work until they know more.

Horseshit.

My take on it is that women are the most likely to cave to this shit. We tend to be fearful of confrontation and "what will people think." Women are not created to be leaders/warriors. We're designed to seek consensus and nurture. For some reason I came down the chute different and have no problem pushing back. In fact, I welcome it.

1
coolhandcuke 1 point ago +1 / -0

I really don't like confrontation when I just want to buy stuff and get out of there as fast as I can.

The sad thing is that before my state had an official mask mandate, I was often the only in the store not wearing one. I finally caved in when we got one because literally every store had a mandate. There weren't alternatives.

The reason I was so scared is because I was afraid that if someone confronted me I wouldn't have the right words to say. I didn't really understand how to articulate the Constitutional boundaries that are put on mask policies. Firye me it's not ok to just put it on if they push or to just go to another store. No. They are breaking the law if they do that and I don't have to put it on and I don't have to go to another store. They dont have that power. I didn't know how to effectively tell them that. I didn't want to be a whipped puppy.

Ledo_5678 1 point ago +1 / -0

That’s too advanced for them. You need to do a lot of research on the lack of effectiveness of masks and reference that and how their rule is just silly. I mean considering 30%+ got vaccined and 10% got it, we by far have herd immunity. Virus particle sizes, asymptomatic spread etc

Most people want to do this, but don't have the courage.

Civil disobedience is the only way out of this mess.

6
Latin_Patriot_MAGA 6 points ago +6 / -0

Since when did not wearing a mask become "civil disobedience"? When did we begin to normalize the use of the oral diaper? We were guilty of normalizing the custom of the mask, that now not wearing it becomes a "civil disobedience", damn, we must reason and act normally because not wearing a mask is NORMAL, it is N-O-R-M-A-L.

Nicely done, OP. Took me a while to get here, too. The state I'm in has waves and I was able to get away with not being harassed for a while until a new "emergency mandate" came out. Then I was constantly harassed. The societal/psychological pressure is real.

I wear a gaiter around my neck and I mess with it every now and then to feign an attempt at complying. Not sure if that's what keeps people from leaving me alone, or maybe it's the daggers I stare at them, but I'm now generally left alone.

What’s weird is this mess of not wearing a mask sounds like OC did years ago when police where looking to arrest people and liberals talked about claiming fear as a reason to just run over someone minding their business with a pistol and no badge. Maybe consider open carry too, it’s easy, fun, and a great exercise of your rights.

Welcome to the land of the living. Now do it no matter what. Take a stand because you’re stronger than 99% of everyone else; they need your lead.

Better late than never while the war isn’t lost, and unless you’ve lived in the bullshit state I do, the fear-mongering government is overreaching and everywhere. There is a lot of psychological warfare happening, and you’re bullshit response is not how you get people to change. I live on the CONSERVATIVE side of the state and people are still terrified to defy the tyrannical state government. Businesses fear losing their licenses (many did and still do), hundreds of small business have closed in my city alone because of the bullshit the state mandated. I didn’t post here for kudos, I posted because others need to hear that it’s not too late.

That's why you live in tyranny. A CONSERVATIVE side of the state means you have county officials that are conservative? Counties can decide what to implement in a state wide mandate. It takes CONSERVATIVES to stand up together. Run for office and get the way.

You may not like my response but it's the truth.

2
Libertyforall1 [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

I’m not disagreeing, my ‘conservative’ local government has done jack shit to help. This is why people in my area are still terrified to defy orders. And our governor has locked down the entire state multiple times, and still controls when a county can open back up. He’s literally a dictator, and our local governments still allow it. When I say that my side of the state is conservative, it doesn’t mean they actually have balls. Conservative in Eastern WA means less liberal than Western WA at this point.

2
FlawdaGroypa 2 points ago +2 / -0

I had the biggest liberal cuck as an RA in college. He became a small town conservative Mayor. Just because someone claims to be a conservative doesn't mean they are. It's a shame we just look on a ballot and assume R is truly Republican. We have to do research on these people.

Sorry about your situation. Glad you took off the mask. It's a big lesson learned.

Changed777 1 point ago +1 / -0

Good for you. Everyone has different obstacles to overcome when this stuff. Glad you did it. The first time I went in a store without a mask my legs were literally shaking. I didn't know if I was going to end up in a big scene with police or what. But people were nicer to me than when I wore a mask. Now that I really understand the Constitutional implications with the mask I am brazen about it.

alex_p_keaton_III 1 point ago +1 / -0

I've been doing what I want in WA for a long time. I laugh at them when the Karens go mask NAZI. I am seeing more people not wearing them now. They rely on everyone being afraid and the populace self policing. Don't be afraid.

1
TangerineShine 1 point ago +1 / -0

We all need to stop. We only have 2 stores in town which require masks even though our state Supreme Court ruled it unconstitutional weeks ago. I have stopped wearing them everywhere I go.

I was confronted and kicked out of a store by a lispy little bitch boy last week. I may have said “fuck it” which slipped out and sounded like “faggot”. He was one....

I didn’t know what to do after it slipped out so I immediately started yelling “The masks are a mind control device, you are under their mind control”. Then I took off. It was wild, really fuggin wild. The adrenaline was PUMPING. I’m planning to gather a very large group of massless shoppers and surge their store. We’ll see what the little fugit thinks about that.

Sorry pede, no kudos from me for your "bold stance." You're late to the show. And you should be embarrassed.

Where were you when the battle started and we really needed you?

7
KeeptheChief 7 points ago +7 / -0

Imagine a Valley Forge veteran saying this to someone who enlisted right before Yorktown. Sheesh

The time to man up is when you sign up. Not after the tide of battle is against you.

Libertyforall1 [S] 6 points ago +6 / -0

I didn’t post to get kudos. You missed the point, and there are so many like me that are well in the fight. I’m guessing you haven’t actually been to WA and seen the devastation that this tyrannical government has done to small business and lives it’s destroyed. I live on the CONSERVATIVE side of the state, and not one other person was shopping without a mask. Belittling people for not taking action earlier is not how you win the war. I probably would have thrown out even a month ago. People in my area are at least not yelling and attacking me, which might not have the case a little while ago.

20-guage 1 point ago +1 / -0

I live in DC, about 1/2 mile from the White House. Have yet to wear a mask, other than at half mast when a store that I absolutely must go to absolutely refuses to let me in otherwise.

1
Libertyforall1 [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

I’ve travelled to other states that have lax expectations, and I don’t wear a mask in those states. WA didn’t get to being one of the most liberal states without knowing how to manipulate and terrorize people into submission. Threaten peoples’ livelihood and people aren’t going to change. Hence why the stores have been so strict on customers wearing masks.

1
20-guage 1 point ago +1 / -0

It also sucks totally here in DC. Woke Mayor Bow-Wow is in lockstep with all things leftist.

I didn't intend to belittle you, BTW. I'm just beyond the point of patience with the whole covid thing. My frustration is with why we all didn't refuse in the first place, when it was obvious from the git go that the whole plandemic thing was fake.

1
Changed777 1 point ago +1 / -0

Oh so you give in and wear a mask? Real courageous.

1
Changed777 1 point ago +2 / -1

Oh really? Well why aren't you at the White House right now? Are you running for any office? Are you giving your family up to be killed? Because the Founders did. What are you? A wimp? There are a hundred things you could do but don't. Seriously lay off.
