Lol this always was a weird insult to me. The reason I don’t think I’ve ever gotten mad at it is this:

Imagine what you achieved in real life was clearly so impressive that people can’t believe you actually did it. So they accuse you of lying. They think they’re insulting you but really it’s a compliment.
