Homosexuality is an inherently anti-conservative trait. While it's possible to hold other traditionalist values, you're never going to be 100% in alignment with traditionalism (unless you go back in the closet, marry a woman, and father a couple of kids or simply make a public show of abstinence like the gays of old).
The real problem here is that the subscribers of .win are no more united than Americans as a whole. They do not have an ethos or a set of unifying principles behind opposition to leftist advances and elite power grabs.
I disagree. Homosexuality on its own is a completely neutral thing. It does not cause anything other than attraction towards the same sex. You can believe in anything that straight people do, by definition. I wouldn't be posting on .win if it wasn't the case (I first started posting on the T_D domreddit some months before the quarantine).
Would you be willing to live your life in unhappiness married to a guy (if you're a guy), and if not, how can you demand it from others? What happened to the pursuit of liberty and happiness? And you didn't even think of the life of a child who would grow up under unhappy parents with an incompatible orientation. That would damage his upbringing for sure. Gays shouldn't be forced into straight families, it's bad for both the person and the child. Let them live with their chosen spouses like every other adult. I don't support gay adoption though. I'm not good with kids, I know that I would be a horrible parent and kids need both parents anyways. I do think that straight families should have lots of kids, so that our countries would survive.
This kind of gatekeeping you are doing is one of the big problems with this site, and makes my point too.
Also, I come from a 1000+ years old country. The way I see it, Americans can never truly be nationalists, only patriots. I have read our codices from the 1200s. I have toured ruins of our castles where our ancestors beat back the Turks. Your country can never know what nationalism is if your Founders wore triangular hats and used rifles instead of helmets and recurve bows. American patriotism is a commercialized, Coke-light version of a medieval-flavored European trad-nationalism.
And this is the second problem America has, and the one that you mentioned too. It was never the gays - it was the lack of medieval history and struggles. This is the reason behind the lack of unifying principles. Our Hungary has experienced a lot of hardships and oppression - we will hopefully survive the current ones too. The USA? I am not so sure. The USA has always been victorious since birth, and it looks like Joe Briben will hand her the defeat it needs to get stronger, and toughen up. If she survives it.
You are a libertarian, not a conservative. you LARP as a conservative because it is an edgy thing or counter-culture. If we want to save America, we need to make hard choices.
I've been a conservative since age 5, that's when I understood what politics is. And being Hungarian, my conservatism runs deep. Our country was former in the year 1000. Your Coke-light commercialized American patriotism cannot save your country if you keep conducting these endless purity tests. Ever heard of "salami tactics"? The Communist Party did it in Hungary after WW2. They sliced their opposition up one at a time, then took over easily. This is what is happening to your country and to this site. Pitting Trump supporters against eachother, white to black and straight to gay. Trump said "if you open your heart to patriotism, there is no room for prejudice". If he came to this site he'd be Sad!
I wish Trump did an AMA so we would ask him questions about why he pandered so much to voting blocs that didn't like him and neglected his white working-class base.I will also ask him why he didn't call out the neocons and cuskervatives who were grifting under MAGA and tried to make us more left-wing over time. I like Trump but he compromised too much with people who didn't like him, and these people also hated his base.
Our side has to do purity tests at the moment because we have too many disappointments and people who push for globalism while wearing a MAGA hat. Our movement also has problems with lack of solidity; we are a conservative/Nationalist movement but most of the top influencers of this movement are establishment conservatives and Libertarians; we can't win anything when these two sets of people are leading us because they have no fighting spirit.I like ex-liberals and libertarians voting for us but I don't like them trying to influence this movement; their influence isn't good for us.
