Unfortunately the religious right trying to parent other adults behavior is what gave rise to the Marxists in the first place. People wanted to be free to live their own lives without other adults trying to be their second parents. Society overshot so far that now the opposite side of the pendulum wants to be other adults second parents. Everyone else is just sitting in the middle wishing everyone would just leave them the fuck alone. I do think society would benefit from more religion but only if it's a guide to a better life and not a club to bludgeon others with.
Without regard for others or the ramifications on the rest of society. It wasn't the religious right being overbearing that drove Marxism, it was them being impotent and caving to the ones in the middle deluding themselves into thinking people will ever "leave each other alone"
The entire purpose of the Gospel is to SPREAD the gospel. If you’re reading the Bible and NOT talking about it; you’re doing it wrong..... you don’t want Christianity then. You’re after some worldly religion that isn’t out there yet. Commandment #1 is love God above ALL else.
That and a lot of the religious right of the W era were dumb ass RINOs that were indistinguishable from an average Clinton dim. So just about everyone had a legit reason to hate the dumbasses.

Born out of Protestant Denominationalism, and the love capital turn corporate! Rampant individualism; coupled with bureaucratic conservatism!
