It took a year, but I finally got noticed by a Karen for not wearing a mask. It was a beautiful day in Hollywood and my buddy who lives next door and I went to get a coffee around lunch time.

We were walking home, drinking from our cups, and I had my mask around my neck (have to wear one to enter the coffee shop, because California, but I always pull it down once I exit businesses) when suddenly we approached a middle aged Krazed Karen walking her dog. She immediately starts making snarky comments like "I can't believe this! What is going on with all these maskless people! Is it a convention? Unreal!"

Being an ex-New Yorker, I of course did not hold my tongue. I immediately shot back, "oh, shut the fuck up, idiot, I'm drinking a fucking coffee...outside!" She seemed absolutely stunned that someone would not bow down to her and beg forgiveness! She began sputtering nonsense at that point - could barely form a coherent word, she was so flustered!

As she continued to mutter and began walking around us - giving us a wide berth, as if she was certain we had the 'Rona - I started yelling "Oh my God, YOU'RE GOING TO GET THE DISEASE!! Holy shit YOU'RE GOING TO DIE!!!"

This made her pick up her pace and she fled the scene.

Can't believe it took me this long to draw the attention of a Mask Nazi!!

Last summer in the park, a Karen gave me shit about not wearing a mask.

I walk my dog on an 8' leash. I told her that my dog was very violent and that if she tried to get withing 8' of me, she'd wish she was in the hospital recovering from Covid. This was a planned response, BTW. It wasn't a matter of if, but when I'd run into one.

It helped that my fairly harmless rescue showed her teeth when the strange lady in a mask gave me attitude
