It's surprising they let the USSR slip from their grasp. It was said that this was the USSR's plan for America. They would win the war without firing a shot. They would destroy us from within by infiltrating our education system, destroying our morals, and promoting communist-friendly leaders and role models. The USSR is long dead now, but the poison remains. Yuri Bezmenov was very correct when he said we were battling the 'world Communist conspiracy' and not just the USSR.

People really need to realize what that actually means, because some are far too hesitant to place blame.
