The whole concept of “hate crime” is bullshit - either something is a crime or it isn’t. Making it supposedly a worse crime because you believe you can read the mind/soul of the perpetrator and know how they feel about the crime/victim is nonsense.

A guy in the UK put bacon on the door handles of a mosque, he got sent to prison for years - but the length of his sentence turned out to be a moot point, he died in prison within months. I can’t remember his name but the authorities didn’t make his cause of death public, which makes it pretty clear he was murdered by angry Moslems.
