There was no correct move he could have done while she was failing to fire and their commander didn't step in. The soldier dude couldn't even tell her to stop pulling while he was walking over since he's not her superior. Even if their comamnder had to step in it would be a humiliation since he would have to babysit her during a public show.
Yeah, but the shock wave itself is more than enough to do serious damage. In detonation, it's actually pressure gradient that does most of the damage (i.e. in a bomb blast). You might live, but you could get a serious TBI from standing that close to the end of a large bore barrel.
Can confirm. I wasn’t blown up per say in Afghanistan, but I was around a lot of guys that were. I sustained a Traumatic brain injury from it all and didn’t know how bad it was until I completed some HBOT treatments and had a normally functioning brain again.
