One of my least favorite trends now is the left framing criminals being shot fleeing or struggling with police with statements like "running away is not a death sentence worthy crime" or "wow the officer executed him....he decided to give him the death penalty just because he committed a misdemeaner".
This is just using language to be manipulative and mean whatever we want them to mean.
Being shot in pursuits or altercations is not tantamount to having a sentence issued to you for a crime. In fact, guilt vs innocence doesn't even have anything to do with it. I could be totally innocent and white, but if the police approach and I start acting erratic and fleeing, what happens to me is on me. At that point I'm not shot because of my level of guilt or innocence, but due to my behavior around officers who have guns. It sucks for people to die, but it's not how the emotionally manipulative people on twitter or elsewhere frame it.
Respect police, even if you don't like them. It'd be better to go to jail than die.
