We don’t even need to call it “God given” if they don’t like it: the right to defend oneself by any means necessary is as much of a natural law as eating and drinking.

It's not about self defense. It's about having the means to kill the tyrants' jackboots and overthrow the government.

No, it’s about self defense— you’re still right too though.

It’s merely that we, by virtue of existing, have a right to defend ourselves singularly OR together against other groups. The other groups could be our government, a hostile force, or really anything. That’s why the second protects the first, there is an ‘assembly’ common thread that both share and is often overlooked.

We should be able to arm up and form up— against anything and anyone.
