Selling illegal guns??

The victim was a pest control worker in a hotel, and he carried his pellet gun up to his room. Someone saw, called the cops, and they interpreted this as a "sniper" shooting out a hotel room window.

And then they killed him.

(Fun fact: I've stayed in the hotel where this happened, twice.)
