Old black man here. Grew up in black areas, live in a black area now. Never been shot at, never had a gun pulled on me. Been pulled over more than 10 times. Only had one dick of a cop.
Friends and classmates of mine in high school ended up in the pen. They took short term gain for long term suffering. They're out now. I don't want to know them.
Sorry for the one bad cop. We can fix that but your point is well taken. Even if you are a black man and you cooperate with police you go home alive. Don’t give a scared cop a reason. Take your ticket and live to fight it in court. Police are trained it’s your life or theirs. What choice do you think they’re gonna make? Don’t give them an opportunity to make that choice. Remain calm and just comply.

Two things; first it’s beyond clear why there is a push that “math is racist” and secondly; this is clearly a culture issues and anyone who thinks it’s racists to say that is part of the problem.
That's a downstream problem though. Inner city kids are struggling in school because they have unstable homes with single parents. Parents aren't there to foster learning and give the kids attention for their schoolwork
On a per interaction basis black men are shot by the cops less often. Black men just on average have more interactions with the cops. Because they commit more crimes.
I have a bone to pick with this. Certain things shouldn't be Criminalized. For instance get rid of the drug war by legalizing everything, using the taxes for drug treatment programs, and you take out most of the reason why you have a 2 million+ slave labor force working for the government (most of whom are black!), and a much larger police state on top of that.
