I'm glad I have a place to come and be with fellow pedes. Even in Alabama it's crazy, our mask mandate was lifted, Publix took down all their signs about masks, yet I was the only one going maskless yesterday.
Texas lifted its mandates, but Austin arbitrarily drew the line at May 8th. Everyone is certain that it will extend beyond that however.
I suspect after I retire from my current job I'll be moving out to the country. I'll be sitting on my patio with a rocking chair pointed towards the west sipping on a beer or sweet tea while the rest of the country burns.

Many people will wear masks for the rest of their lives, regardless of any mandates. Better get used to it.
