It absolutely is. A free market is free, which includes everything from collusion to price fixing. Truly free markets are horrible; I want competitive markets, which usually aren't free.
Collusion with governments is far from the only type of anti-competitive behavior that corporations practice. And anything and everything, up to collusion with governments, is part of the capitalist mindset when your only motive is profit.
I 100% agree that government should be helping small businesses stand a chance, and I also think government should be helping the middle class stand a chance. And both of those things are at odds with letting the ultrarich and megacorporations dictate how our society functions and where all our spending priorities should be.
Collusion with government to stomp out competition is not free markets and capitalism though.
Guess what happens when one of these giant monopolies goes under? They get a bailout from government.
There was no bailout for all the small businesses that went under from forced COVID lockdowns (which monopolies profited from).
