The best thing that could happen right now is complete balkanization of China into a half dozen splinter states. Without the authoritarian CCP it would have happened by now.
I wouldn't take much to force that.
In 2021 it's more likely for the U.S. to splinter....
It would be pretty hard for anyone to wipe out our political class.
Conversely we could wipe out theres in moments.
