From my observation trying to wake up the people around me, they just shut down their brain and want the vaccine passport because they think they could live like the "old normal" (ffs). Common sense is broken with all the patient brainwashing.
Stockholm syndrome is in full effect now : " if we obey everything, we'll be back to normal, and we're not because you don't bend over".
Spell out the eternally moving goalposts to them. 2 weeks to flatten the curve got extended for over a year to now "We need to invent a whole new way to limit and restrict people forever."
Ask them if they really think the government will give up all this power they got or simply think of another pathetic excuse.

This has been my experience as well. People have abandoned all logic and reason and replaced it with blind obedience. This never ends well.
