Man how i wish i lived in Florida..right about now. We live in Michigan, and i been looking eveywhere to get an Endoscopy done for my son due to his swallowing/food getting stuck in his esophagus. Not life-threatening, but very very uncomfortable. Looks like it is a narrowing of his esophagus that they will need to dilate. Needless to say, every single hospital requires covid-19 testing done before surgery, and you can't even opt for a saliva test, ONLY PCR nasal. That's BS. They claim Saliva test not accurate, but guess what neither is PCR test. I argued with these A-holes and they tell u..like a script being read...BS that makes no sense, when u call them out..they just state it's the hospital policy. I even went as far to say..ok if my son is forced to get a PCR test, even though he has no symptoms, nor has been sick, it makes the surgeons and Drs more safe in the surgery room. So...i asked...well, will the Drs and nurses be required to be PCR tested as well..3-5 days before his surgery? Ya know...for the safety of my son, the patient. Answer....well, no...but our Drs and staff will be masked up and throughly scrubbed up. I just laughed. What BS. With all kinds of issues, we finally found a Gastroenterologist in Florida that will see my son, give him a Endoscopy, and not require he be PCR tested for Covid! Thank God.

No, they tried having me come in before and get tested and I said no. I am in a red state though but it was a purple city. I don’t think they can force you actually but as I imagine in liberal states it might be difficult to get people to respect the law unless a lawyer is involved. I’ll try to find the law again. It’s hard to find things these days. I looked briefly and haven’t found the site again. But just because COVID exists I don’t think it gives them the right to override existing laws. On the site I found it said Doctors cannot force tests on patients unless they are showing symptoms (this was a law before Covid according to the site). It is highly likely that the doctors and hospital staff do not know the law either if the site is correct. The only way we end up beating these idiots is by applying the law and fighting this BS. Most of what is happening is unconstitutional and if taken to court they would lose.

I tried calling lawyers and all the places i called, non of them represent any of these type of cases nor have they done anything about covid stuff against our bodily rights. I can send a complaint to ACLU in Michigan but judging by what they stand for, i don't think they will take me very far. Maybe because the hospital is a business they can get away with this. They already told me it is the hospital's policy, not the Dr. I even confirmed this by calling the Dr's office who would be doing the surgery and the receptionist told me that the Dr doesn't require the test, but the hospital does. Unfortunately, the Dr only does surgeries out of this particular hospital. Calling around, all other hospitals require the test as well. Bastards!
