You should be able to sue over a false statement like that.

It's FAA regulations, not exactly a law but it pretty much does carry the force of law since you can be arrested and charged for failing to comply with FAA regulations.

Federal law requires compliance with FAA regulations, FAA regulations require people to wear masks when traveling via airplane/airport. So technically it is correct to say that federal law requires that masks be worn even though there's no federal law requiring masks be worn.

And how does the FAA get to make laws like this without any sort of vetting or approval from elected officials? What if they decided tomorrow that in order to fly you had to get naked and be raped? Is that ok because the FAA can do what it wants?

The FAA doesn't make laws, they make "regulations" regarding air travel. After the 9/11 event Americans gave away our freedoms (much like with covid) and allowed the government to lock down air travel about as tight as federal prisons with laws that gave the FAA a lot of power and a lot of license to use that power.

Welcome to America, it sounds like you're finally starting to see "what democracy looks like" here...

I suggest you learn as much about civics and how laws/regulations/policies work and what your rights are and how to protect them. You give up almost all of them as soon as you step into a scanner machine at the airport.

I’m done with United. I’ve flown extensively with them over the last ten years, but between their embrace of mask fascism and the latest virtue signaling over election laws I need to find a new airline. It’s clear nobody in United’s PR or marketing departments bothered to read the Georgia law, but that’s what I’ve come to expect from almost all corporate marketing departments. They seem to be filled with leftists.

I'm waiting for a flight to get put down because someone had their mask down while eating their meal.

What law was passed? The last time I checked, the CDC is not a legislative body and only gives advice/suggestions.

Hey, United, can I get a citation for that regulation?

Was just in the Sky Harbor airport in Phoenix. It was nice to look around and see so many people take off their masks. They weren't eating or drinking either. We sat there and took ours off and occasionally took a sip of water. No one said anything.

On the plane we kept them off almost the entire flight as did others. Sip of water here and there. Stewardess said zip to us. It was nice to feel free again.

What airline did you fly that isn’t requiring masks?

We flew American Eagle. They required masks they just didn't bother anyone who took theirs off during the flight.

Yeah I could care less about what’s required, I’m more interested who actually follows that rule. I walk into stores all the time with a sign up.

Also, on their website it says the fine is $35,000 by federal government.

I refuse to get on a plane where pilots are selected based on race and not qualifications. Bye United.

"... and between bites and sips if travelers are eating and drinking."

Touch the mask. Touch the mask. touch the mask again.

Civil disobedience or death.

Well, guess you don't need to wear a mask then. And if they remove you based off this policy, they removed you unjustly as congress has written no bill, nor has biden signed a mask bill.
