Truth over facts. He was shot holding an air freshener. Lol
How does she not know the difference between a taser and glock????? I have both and there is a noticeable difference. Holy shit. George floyd II payout coming.
tunnel vision - she made an initial mistake then never reevaluated the facts. This was clearly a mistake. Wether it was criminal is highly nuanced. The bottom line, however, is that people are not robots, and when you take action that forces a police officer to use force against you, you overwhelmingly increase the chances you will be injured or killed. Even a taser can be deadly. DO NOT ESCAPE ARREST especially a felony arrest.
I am curious what his warrant was for, because depending on the reason for the arrest, deadly force might actually have been legally justified to prevent escape.
This is a known potential issue, which is why Axon goes out of their way to make them look, feel, and weigh different than a service weapon. Its why police departments train officers not to holster a tazer on the same side or near their weapon. Its why officers are trained to use their weapon sights on every shot (a tazer looks a lot different than a glock when you look down the sights) and not to wing shots from the hip.
The dirtbag shouldn't have resisted, but this wasn't just an oops by that officer. It was multiple instances of gross negligence. She very easily could have (and very nearly did) shoot her partner. Taser or not you can't have that behavior from an officer.
