Yeah, and they lasted a lot long than the typical empire, right? Women's suffrage isn't the primary cause of collapse, it just accelerates the normal cycle of birth, growth, and collapse.

Ahh now I understand what he meant, but no, that's not a counter example. A counter example would be a country giving women the right to vote, that didn't collapse within 120 years.
