That doesn't warrant use of lethal force.

You know that.

The guy knew that.

The police officer that shot knew that.

The other two police officers immediately knew that.

Don't be disingenuous with the whole "just comply!" argument. He made a bad choice. She made a terrible accident. It's sad for everybody involved.

He was wanted for gun possession, was in a stolen vehicle, tried to flee with this vehicle (felony) with officers in close proximity (reasonable suspicion of serious injury).

That is enough to make lethal force a valid option. (in most cases still not a great shoot, but a perfectly legal and justifiable one)

You shouldn't yell Taser, Taser, Taser though, since that makes your lawyer quite unhappy.

Edit: Removed the stolen vehicle part, his family gave him the car
