Being made to endlessly repeat the answers to a quiz rather than actually learning and understanding how a concept works and the reasons behind it - is specifically training children to not think about or question what they are told. Only to accept that what they are being given from a source of authority is the right answer.

This is why you have so many younger (and some older) people these days that just mindlessly "parrot" whatever they hear in the media as true without ever stopping to think about what they're saying. It's what they've been taught.

The educational system in our country is nothing more than an Marxist brainwashing center.

That's why I'm happy to have gone through the nuclear power program in the navy, we were forced to think. My qualification board at last school was 1 question but took a few hours to answer.

They told me the initial plant conditions and said the boat is going down 300 feet. What happens to the whole power plant.

The only memorization was equations needed to calculate new pressures, temperatures, and reactor power

Pretty much every major problem were having in this country today directly traces back to our educational system having been infiltrated by communists.

Some rote memorization is necessary, particularly as relates to basic math or dates upon which pivotal events happened.

When the concepts become more abstract, intellectual freedom should be given and defense of positions taught.
