It's known as winning the ghetto lottery. Around here in the corn ghetto it's the same thing, but with the hospital ER's -- because they can't get a pay out from the police if their broke dick relatives do suicide by cop.
A friend of mine (Flyover State) recently got a massive multi-million dollar payout due to hospital/ER incompetence. Another friend had a relative shot by police (inappropriately) at his own home, didn't get a cent. Our corrupt local police shoot low-income white males fairly frequently, while avoiding the jogger neighborhoods and joggers in general- allowing them to prey on the gentrification at will. Weird times.
Wasn't talking about a legit payout -- talking about how just about every month or so some corn ghetto denizen is going to sue the hospital for some bizarre bullshit because that's how they get their payouts. And no, usually over an equally no account family member that they don't give a shit about.
Plenty of times my kid has seen a regular come in; family member gets contacted; family member spouts off about how they wish so and so would just die already, no they won't come out and get them...they're so tired....but if something does happen to family member *usually due to drugs or alcohol...oh man, how could you do this to my poor sweet brother/sister!!!! I'm getting a lawyer since you don't care!!! Same game really.
We don't really have any cop shootings -- knock wood -- but it hasn't been from lack of trying by some of our resident rednecks (I know, some of you call them just white trash, but around here they're called both). Some of them are scary as hell too -- bath salts are starting to become a thing with the local meth heads.
Yes, the meth/bath salts thing is becoming a serious problem in the Flyover States (along with opiate/Xanax addiction etc.) The SJWs are gloating, because this means they can blame our rising crime rate/deteriorating public safety situation on "stupid wipipo" while ignoring (and/or encouraging) the rampant jogger/migrant mayhem that is making my failing small-town unrecognizable.
Even a small-town like mine is susceptible to these big-city-style outbursts of sudden mob violence, now that social-media obsession has the joggers & SJWs staring at their cell-phones watching to receive their behavioral cues. Now that Leftist carpetbaggers have infiltrated our local government, we have frequent LGBTQRSLOLWTF "Pride Protests" and the local SJWs desperately trying to incite the joggers to "put down dem blunts and attack the monuments, already! reeee!!!" So far they have little traction on that, as usual it's a crowd of flabby lesbians and a few emaciated beta-orbiters screeching at the monuments with very few black people in sight. (Apparently, they are saving their strength for the upcoming riots.)
