Despite supposedly having ~10% of the country get infected, who shouldn't be getting new infections, we have more infections per day than ever. Oh, and with about 25% of people "fully vaccinated". https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/
Daily #s now: 85k infections (deaths ~1k/day)
6 months ago: 50-60k infections (deaths 1k)
9 months ago: 50-60k infections (deaths 1.5k)
1 year ago: 30k infections (deaths 2.7k)
In my state of MI which had hard lockdowns throughout, we have >8k cases/day, close to our highest peak. Either these numbers have nothing to do with COVID or all of these measures achieved nothing. Or both, but at least one must be true. But Florida, with more than double the population of MI, has 7k per day, 30% lower than 9 months ago.
But hey, it's fun to be all over the place.
Well the weakest have all been killed off, so that part makes sense. They can always say it could have been worse without lockdowns.
The impressive thing is that they really looked at every possible angle before they did this. And the angles they didnt see, there is always a way to spin it. The sick fucks.
