The hallmark of civilized society has always been some form of policing to keep the inevitable criminal element from taking over so the common man can go about his business in peace and blissful ignorance. The reason we are in the situation we are in now is because the law agencies tasked with keeping the peace and arresting the criminals has been subverted.
Sheriffs by and large have been mostly immune to the rot because their leadership is elected and not selected. Not saying there are no woke sheriffs but they tend to be in areas already overcome by the commie rot and typically are migrants themselves.
