i got all that except what is GUID generator? Well, i know what one is, but how is that relevant to online social forums, the generate their own backend guids.

Just generates a random enough User ID for registering on social media, email, etc.

When humans try and type “random” they usually favor certain things. Rather just have each character be 100% as random as possible. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Seems a bit much. The VPN is the core issue I think.

What most likely happened is Twitter turned over the guy's IP address with timestamps, and then the police went to his ISP with that info and asked for his name and address, and the ISP folded immediately and gave them everything they wanted.
