I'd even say pay them a certain amount of hours every week to go to the gym and train MMA.

And have frequent physical fitness tests. And not just pullups and pushups either since that's relative to bodyweight. Have a minimum squat/deadlift/bench/barbell row.

A 5'2" 110lb woman who does 10 pullups isn't going to be able to restrain a 5'11" 190lb man.

They should be able to confidently scuffle with and restrain an average sized, average strength adult male without resorting to weapons.

People don't seem to realize the very simple fact that even if you thought muscle mass develops the same between genders (it doesn't), even just "average height and weight" alone, with one leg I can kick with more momentum (the thing that causes damage, not speed) than many women could with a flying full-body kick (not that they would, just for comparison). Physics is amazing. I've BEEN hit by said flying kicks, by surprise, and turned to see the person bounced off me and fall to the floor simply from size difference.

IDEA!

Saint Fenty Floyd is so beloved, he should be immortalized in police training: Get an overweight 6'6" man hopped up on uppers, and see if you can take them down nonlethally. That clearly should be the basic standard according to the Lefties, anyways, right? Able to without injuring them completely subdue an angry and resistant drug-fueled 6'6" man.

lol I used to go to a crappy tae kwon do dojo in highschool.

FIrst time sparring I was a yellow belt and they paired me off with a brown belt girl who was significantly smaller than me.

I watched too many movies where petite women beat up guys twice their size and thought the genders were equal so I thought "oh she's a brown belt I better not hold back", kicked her full force and she went flying out of the ring XD

Then everyone got mad at ME like "she's a girl you're not supposed to go all out wtf man!

It was definitely the instructors fault for pairing us off but yeah I was the bad guy it was so stupid.

It wasn't the female cop that was trying to cuff Wright (and that, male, cop fucked up too...and the other male cop could have directed him to exhibit more proper procedure and didn't, so he kinda fucked up as well). And of course Duante could have just done the smart thing and "well, ya got me", but he fucked up.
