What the public ought to be outraged about is how utterly dysfunctional SCOTUS would be come in this scenario. As Eugene Levy stated in Vacation, "You think you hate it now, but wait till you drive it..." It is already hard enough to get coherent opinions that a minimum of 5 justices will sign on to. Add more members to the court and that is amplified exponentially. You could see a majority controlling opinion with 4-5 concurrences on a regular basis. I would take 9 Ginsburgs over this setup 10/10 times. At least you would have predictability and consistency even if you thought it was bullshit. The public has no idea how much a shit show the legal system is...take away predictability and then nobody has a fuckin clue what the law is. Disaster in the making. Just as well start planning our next system of government to arise from the rubble if they move forward with this.

I am no more correct than anyone else in offering this opinion. But personally, I don't see them doing this. This is more of a "get the fuck in line, and don't get in my way; otherwise, look what I'll do." Additionally, what is our immediate reaction to this? We need to take back the house and senate. Which means we need to start supporting Republicans. RINOs have been playing the "you better give us money, vote for us, and give us public support, otherwise look at what the baddie bad democrats are gonna do" card for the last few decades.
