The issue is that when all you see is on TV is a bunch of black people acting like animals, you start to think that is what a black person is supposed to act like.

Black people think, "oh that's what I am supposed to act like."

White people think, "oh that's how black people act. That ain't good."

What we lose out is the nice person at the ALDIs that loaned me his cart (one of those types where you got to put in a quarter), one of the people you see at work, high schools friends who just like anime (especially DBZ), and the successful types.

People ultimately absorb behaviors of those that they surround themselves or identify with, which is why it is important that we see people like this guy.

Be a free thinker and don't fear acting as devil's advocate for certain ideas. Remember that the correct answer is usually "it's complex". Trust your instincts where you can, but be sure to back them up with reasoning and ask yourself how you want to live and what principles you want to have.
