I've got a lot of Aussie friends from my old rugby days. Also, tons of Aussie ex-pats in San Diego.......it's pretty obvious why we attract more than our share.
Look where I live it's not been too bad. We get locked down every 6 months or so but only for a few days at the start of an outbreak. Masks are currently mandated for the and have been for a few weeks but it ends this week. So in-terms of covid it's been pretty good.
However generally in Australia we don't have freedom and have never really had freedom in my lifetime. We have no bill of rights here, and the federal government is completely fucked. Our Liberal party is the corpratist party and has been in power for way too long, and our media is a monopoly owned by rupert murdoch who keeps the libs in power by brainwashing the normies. The libs have also spent the last 20 years selling out our industries to China, their globalist cucks.
The labor party can't get a break because of the media, even tho their the working class party. People don't seem to understand that unless you own an asx200 company or have 5 investment properties you shouldn't be voting for the corpo party (libs) but they vote for them anyway.
On the upside most people I talk to believe covid is bullshit, but we're so laid back here no one fights it. Everyone just wants to get along and be left alone for the better part.
