What has ever been on time or under budget in the military? Nothing!
There's two types in the military:
the incompetent who couldn't succeed anywhere they weren't guaranteed employment
sociopaths who just want power and find it easiest to get there - either to abuse cadets or especially to enrich themselves and their friends/family
Our subs could blow those 2 "modern" carriers up before they knew what the fuck was coming at them. China is trash. Those same subs could glass that country if needed. There is a reason we got the Navy, we rule the oceans, no one else stands a chance let alone even getting on our soil.
