A lot of small businesses are corporations. It's not just the giant corporations this effects. It will be mom and pop shops. S corps C corps. This will hit a lot of people that sign the front of checks
Mega corporations don't care about business taxes because they always find loopholes and get government subsidies to offset them. It's the medium-small businesses that get hurt the most and because those businesses get hurt the most, it allows big business to do even better.
The naive socialists who think business taxes is some communist utopia don't understand that the way in which they are implemented always results in simply the consolidation of businesses, reduction in competition and overall a worse situation for consumers/workers but a better situation for the few mega large corporations that find ways around the taxes.
No one we want to benefit will benefit from these taxes. The solution is always lower taxes not higher.
Oh! At first I thought the business leaders were talking about taxes on all taxpayers, but they were just worried about business taxes. That makes more sense. They don't give two shits about the people they call consumers.... But wait. If consumers have to pay higher taxes, they will have less money to spend consuming... Oh well.
Why don't we raise them even more then?
