I have only seen a very small bit of the footage. It seemed to me the driver was posing zero threat to the police officer.
Regardless of whether or not he had a loaded gun in the front seat, he should have just followed the instructions and got out of the car.
Having said that does anyone know what lead to his death. Was he resisting arrest. Im not sure if this is the story in which the officer mistook his gun for his taser. If it is, that bothers me greatly.
I do wonder though if the army vet had been white, would the media even care about it?
Thats what bothers me about the BLM movement, what about when people other than blacks die at the hands of the police, what their lives dont matter?
The one who got maced at the gas station? I wasn't aware he died or got shot.
I think i got the story confused. I think he did get maced, but not shot. I heard the officer lost his job.
Honestly if the cop lost his job I'm not losing sleep over it. Classic "more than one idiot" situation.
Driver shouldn't have drove off for 7 miles, cop shouldn't have acted as rashly as he did.
No, the driver escalated the situation by refusing every order and driving for 1.5 miles with the cops trying to pull him over. And he had no visible tag. Also had a gun on his right leg.
I think OP is mixing up the incidents.
Shitty attitude fitting for an army diversity hire.
The soldier pepper sprayed should have got his ass beat too
The Lt had a gun and fled. Not normal behavior for an upstanding military hero.
Why did he flee that is strange. Would that be means for a court martial, removal of his military title?
