These entrenched wonks sit at their sea of desks and foment trouble, slow or stop work they don't want implemented, they are lazy union-protected lumps that can't even be fired (civil "service") and replaced. So more of them get hired, and our budget bloats even further and work slows even more.
I think they should be term-limited to 3 years each, or less. Every one of them. We don't want any more career swamp in bureaucracy or lawmaking (which is now often one and the same).
It's the State Department and the DOJ and the intelligence agencies and the IRS and on and on and on. Everybody is related to someone. Everybody is married to this political swamp monster or the brother-in-law of that one, this Senator's sister is the judge or the DA or the AG ... It's like a building filled with roaches that no pest control is strong enough to cure. It has to be either abandoned or demolished to get rid of the pestilence.
